Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 1/4 cup milk
Recipe:
Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, baking powder & sugar).
Add in the eggs, milk, butter & vanilla extract.
Mix everything together, but be careful not to overmix.
Preheat your waffle iron and brush the mould with some melted butter to avoid the batter sticking to the sides. Place around 1/3 cup of batter in each section, the amount may vary on the size of your waffle maker. Spread the mixture out.
Cook for around 3-4 mins (check the directions on your waffle maker as cooking times may vary).
I have a light that turns from red to green when the waffles are done the cooking, but check your waffles every now and then to see whether they are done.
Use maple syrup, or vanilla ice cream & chocolate sauce to decorate.
