- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for brulee topping)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
How To Make Crab Brulee
Step 1: Prepare the Crab Mixture
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare ramekins by lightly buttering them.
- In a medium pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Gently fold in the crab meat and Parmesan cheese until evenly combined. Spoon the mixture into the prepared ramekins, dividing it evenly among them.
Step 2: Create the Brulee Topping
- Sprinkle each ramekin with a thin layer of brown sugar, making sure it covers the crab mixture evenly.
- Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mixture is heated through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with a light sprinkle of lemon zest for a fresh finish.
