What can be a better side dish than Potato? From street food to almost every kind of homemade food the use of potato is found. However ever tried making a salad out of it? If not then here is the recipe you are just searching. We bring to you Potato salad and the detailed steps to make it. This potato salad, no doubt will be a perfect side dish to compliment your lunch and dinner menus. Just follow the steps and grace your dinner or lunch menu with this potato salad.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 kg potatoes
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  5. 1/4 tsp chaat masala optional
  6. 1 tsp mustard
  7. 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  8. 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  9. 2 tbsp deep fried onion

Recipe:

First, bring water to a rolling boil. Then add the mashed potatoes to the boiling water and boil them for 15 minutes.

Now peel the skin off (or you can keep them if you like) and cut them into halves. You can cut into more slices if you use bigger potatoes. Add olive oil, salt, black pepper, chaat masala, mustard paste.

Then add chopped coriander to the potatoes and give everything a good mix. (here you can use other herbs of your choice and also can add some lemon juice if you like).

Now you can serve the salad as it is if you like to keep it simple and healthy. but to make it tastier we will add a couple of more ingredients. Now mix in the mayonnaise to the salad.

Finally sprinkles the fried onions. fried onions give the salad a wonderful taste and flavour and take it to the next level.

Serve the salad warm or cooled as per your preference and enjoy the creamy delicious potato salad.
